Prevent Strategy
Lunt's Heath Primary School is committed to providing a secure environment for pupils, where children feel safe and are kept safe. All adults in our school recognise that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility irrespective of the role they undertake or whether their role has direct contact or responsibility for children or not.
The Governing Body fully accepts the school's responsibility to implement the Prevent Duty.
The aim of the PREVENT Duty is to identify individuals at risk of being drawn into extremism, assess the nature and extent of that risk and develop the most appropriate support for the individuals concerned.
Parents / carers / stakeholders are encouraged to add an extra layer of vigilance around the recent terror related activity. Should you have any suspicisions or concerns regarding any terror related activity including radicalisation then you should immediately conatact Mr Dave Paton, the school's Single Point of Contact (SPOC) - 0151 423 3322, or alternatively the National Anti-Terrorist Hotline - 0800 789 321
