No Poverty

When using their critical thinking skills to examine the topic of wealth and poverty and discuss the contributing factors, the children looked inward to discover what talents they possess that could be used to provide for their family and community.

In pooling their ideas, skills and talent the children decided that they wanted to create start-ups and mini-enterprise projects. At Lunt's Heath the children made and sold food, bracelets, plants, slime, book marks and pictures selling them at a market place event for parents, grandparents and relatives. The sum total of funds aised was donated to our friends at Emmangweni Primary School and was gratefully used to purchase brand new school uniform for orphaned children.
