Year 3 2019 - 2020

Miss Cameron

Welcome to Class 3L and 3H

Your teachers are Miss Cameron and Mrs Owen. This year we are very lucky to be supported by Mrs Devereaux.

The children have all settled into Year 3 and we are already enjoying an exciting learning journey together. Please follow our class journey and other important school news by following our Twitter pages @lhpMissCameron3 and @LHPMrsOwen_Y3, if you haven't already.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for continuous support and wish your child a successful year laugh

Our PE days this half term will be Monday (Indoor-Tennis)and Tuesday (Outdoor). Please ensure that your child has their full PE kit in school on those days. A full uniform list can be viewed in the office section, should you have any concerns.

Our curriculum for each half term is shown below by clicking on the Year 3 Curriculum Map.

Homework - Maths

We are encouraging the children to practise their multiplication tables. Therefore, every Monday they will receive a piece of homework relating to the focus times table. This must be completed by Friday, as they will be tested and a new focus may be given. We would recommend that the children find their own preferred way of learning their times tables, as this can make it more memorable. There are a range of  resources, such as songs, using Maths Shed, TopMarks and actions.

Homework - English

We are encouraging the children to practise their spellings and grammar by providing a piece of homework with a list of spelling words and another piece to practise grammar.  This must be completed by Friday, as they will be tested on their spellings and homework reviewed. If there are any concerns with the level of difficulty or completion, we encourage the children to speak to the class teacher as soon as possible.
