SEND Support during COVID-19

Parents/Carers,

Welcome to our SEND support page. I hope you are all keeping safe at home and we look forward to welcoming you back in school as soon as we know it is safe to do so. In the meantime, we wanted you to have a place where you could access support for your children with SEND during this difficult time.

Here we will be uploading any useful documents that we feel would be useful for you over the lockdown period for you to access at home. If you need any advice further adivce regarding SEND needs, you can email me at Andrew.Moore@luntsheath.halton.sch.uk

There is lots of information out there with regards to support during these unprecedented times. I would like to remind you of the local support available to you at:

https://localoffer.haltonchildrenstrust.co.uk/

Please keep safe and I look forward to seeing you all soon,

Mr Moore (SENCO)

Routines

The following resources will help you and your child to sequence your day, which may include home learning. Click on the name for further support:

Visual Timetable

Visual timetables can be beneficial for children with a range of special needs. They can help to provide structure and routine, encourage independence, prevent frustration, confusion and anxiety and build confidence.

Now and Next board

Now and next boards helps children with SEN  to focus on what they should be doing in the instant, and what will be happening next. This is a very supportive strategy as it breaks the day down into simple stages and helps to alleviate anxiety.
