Class 5H 2019 - 2020

Mr Moore

Welcome to Class 5H

Your teacher this year is Mr Moore.

Enjoy using our class page!

Thrive in 5 Champion!      Reading Champion!

Mathemagician of the Week

Home Reading

All children will be asked to choose a home reading book. This may be from the class selection, school library, Widnes library or a book the children have at home that is appropriate. The children have been asked to read a range of books this year- different authors and styles of book.

Reading Diary (Homework Diary)

Children are asked to record the book title and pages they read in their diary. In year 5, we are encouraging children to become independent readers and to read longer texts and therefore they will need to read some chapters to themselves to enable enjoyment of books and complete books in a reasonable time.

Remember to write in your Homework Diary the name of your reading book and the pages you have read. Remember to show Mr Moore the diary to receive your reading house points each week.

Spellings are given out on Mondays. Remember to practise these as you will be tested on Friday mornings.

Both English and Maths homework is given out on Thursday and is due in on the following Tuesday.
