Class 4H 2020 - 2021

Mrs Hulme

Welcome to Class 4H!

Your teachers this term are Mrs Mansell (Mon-Thurs) and Mrs Pitt (Fri), with support from Mrs Devereux.

Everyone in 4H is working hard and going the extra 2%!

It has been a joy and a pleasure joining 4H together on our fantastic learning journey this term!  We had a terrific day at Fiddlers Ferry Power Station launching our exciting unit on 'Electricity'.  Not only are we discovering more about the science of electrical developments but we are also investigating how electricity has changed out lives over the last 100 years.

Reading

Everyone has a reading book and reading record booklet.

It is great to establish good reading habbits. Please aim to read as much as possible as this will build up your fluency and languge knowledge which helps across all lessons.  Plus it is simply great fun!  Ask an adult to listen to you read every week, ideally every night but at least three times a week.

Maths

We continue to focus on our times tables especially 6x, 8x and 9x.

Keep practising so that you can recall the answers at speed. Why not test yourself against the clock with mixed questions? Remember to take advantage of the mesmerising Maths Shed Challenge!  The more you complete, the more points you gain!

PE

Our PE days this half term (Spring 2) will be Monday (Outdoor) and Thursday (Indoor). Please ensure that your child has their full PE kit in school on those days.

Homework

Mathematics & English homework is handed out every Thursday to be returned by the following Tuesday.  Spellings are given on Monday with a test on Friday.  Times tables are tested regularly throughout the week.
