Class 4H 2019 - 2020

Mrs Hulme

Welcome to Class 4H!

This year your teacher is Mrs Hulme supported by Mrs Brown.

Enjoy using our class page!

Star of the Week                 Reader of the Week

Times Tables

We are focusing on our Times Tables at the moment, especially 6x, 8x and 9x. Please practise and get to know all the tables so that you can recall the answers at speed. Test yourself against the clock  and with mixed questions so that the children are not learning them in order: e.g. 6 x 7, 8 x 9,      9 x 7.

Encourage the children to look for patterns so that they don't have to count from 0 each time to find the answer, e.g. I know that 4 x 7= 28 so 8 x 7 must be 56 because I can double 4 x 7 to get    8 x 7.

Year 4L have PE on a Monday morning and a Thursday afternoon.

Please have your PE kit in school! Trainers need to be in school for children to wear during outdoor PE.

Please can you ensure that your child is reading on a daily basis and any comments are recorded in the reading record. Many thanks for your support!

Mathematics  and English homework is handed out every Thursday to be returned by the following Tuesday.
